                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING NORTH
                   HICKORY STREET LOCATED NORTHEAST FROM EAST 5TH
                   STREET, SOUTHEAST OF NORTH HOLLY STREET, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned North Hickory Street located northeast from East 
5th
         Street, southeast of North Holly Street, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
               
                North Hickory Street, an unopened right-of-way some
                20 feet wide beginning on the northeast line of
                East 5th Street (formerly Cadiz Street) 507.5 feet
                southeast of the intersection of the northeast line
                of East 5th Street with the southeast line of North
                Holly Street, and extending northeast 215 feet
                between parallel lines.  Tax Map No. 146F-S-1.1 and
                23, and 146G-J-11.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
